Саудитска Арабия няма намерение да се отказва от оборудването на Huawei
В условията на търговска война между САЩ и Китай, производителят на оборудване Huawei беше подложен на много ограничения и забрани, които значително усложняват развитието на техния бизнес. Следвайки примера на Щатите някои страни побързаха да наложат ограничения на възможностите за сътрудничество с Huawei и забраниха използването на оборудване на производителя. Въпреки това не всички държави се придържат към тази политика.
В свое скорошно интервю министърът на технологиите в Саудитска Арабия Абдула бин Амер Ал-Сваха заяви, че не вижда защо страната да се отказва от сътрудничеството си с Huawei и да забранява използването на оборудването им. Това беше неговият отговор на въпроса, счита ли за опасно използването на оборудване, произведено от китайския технологичен гигант.
Министърът също така подчерта, че когато става дума за развитието на цифровата икономика на Саудитска Арабия, правителството следва два основни принципа. На първо място, страната е отворена за сътрудничество с компании от всички краища на света. Той добави, че Саудитска Арабия има готовност да сътрудничи с всяка компания, която произвежда оборудване, съобразено с техническите и нормативните изисквания, което в същото време гарантира киберсигурността на потребителите.
В интервюто същ така се спомена, че страната планира да осъществи разработката на мобилна връзка от пето поколение на територията на Близкия Изток и Северна Африка съвместно с чуждестранните си партньори.
